1. Category B1 -B1.1 Aeroplanes Turbine, including Airframe systems and Gas Turbine Engine
2. Category B2 – Avionics Systems, including Electrical System, Instrument
System and Radio Navigation System.
The duration of above-mentioned course is 02 years each, which is divided into four semesters of six months each, covering all the modules of respective category.
The entire course consists of basic knowledge training, basic knowledge examination, practical training and practical assessment.

1E INFRASTRUCTURE FACILITIES
a) The size and structure of facilities available at VSM AEROSPACE AME TRAINING SCHOOL ensure the protection from the prevailing weather elements and proper operation of all planned training and examination on any particular day.
The following accommodations are available:
1. Post holder – 4 Rooms
2. Class room for knowledge training and examination – 8 Rooms + 4 Rooms in Old Block
3. Library – 1 Room
4. Office – 2 Rooms
5. Knowledge examiner and assessor – 1 Room
6. Examination cell – 1 Room
7. Labs and practical facilities – 12 Rooms
8. Hanger for HS-748 and other aircraft including helicopter and associated ground equipment.
Shops available with VSM

b) Fully enclosed appropriate OWNED accommodation separate from other facilities are existing and provided for the instruction of theory, and the conduct of knowledge examinations.
1F DGCA APPROVAL
1G PRACTICAL TRAINING AND ASSESSMENT
- The conduct of basic practical training and assessments to be carried out by this organization as follows:
- Basic practical training will be conducted both in-house and at AMOs as per the syllabus in compliance. In House practical training will be carried out in the facilities such as labs, Hangar and on aircrafts.
- The practical carried out in Aircraft Maintenance Organizations will have to be assessed by a Practical Assessor appointed by the AMO & it will be their responsibility to carry out the practical. Complete assessment of the student should be done by the practical assessor in all respects . The Practical Training Instructors shall train every student for practical task to be performed with respect to the module subject for which they are undergoing training.
- Every student will make entry of practical in their personal logbook.
(1) AT VSM AEROSPACE AME TRAINING SCHOOL, 15/1-A, 13th ‘A’ Main Road, Sector ‘A’, Yelahanka New Town, Bangalore – 560 064 (AMTO Basic) (COMPLETELY OWNED)
Facilities (Contracted AMO)
Facilities are available with Deccan Charters Pvt. Ltd, Bangalore for fixed wing aircraft maintenance.
With AIR WORKS INDIA Ltd. (CMRO Division) TAAL Airport, Hosur). Base is approved by DGCA under CAR 145 to carry out Base Maintenance.
1. ATR 42-500 aircraft fitted with P&W PW 127E engines,
2. ATR 72-212A aircraft fitted with P&W PW 127F/127M engines,
3. Airbus A319/320/321 aircraft fitted with IAE V2500/CFM56-5 Series engines,
4. Boeing 737 NG Series (600/700/800/900/900ER) aircraft fitted with CFM 56-7 Series engines.
